Cadets walk the Vale. Dragons choose, or they burn you. This Threshing Quiz is a seven-choice fan score on this site. It is not the official Dragonkind game and it does not need an email.

A scream cuts through the trees. What do you do first?
Choice 2 of 7
A dragon that is not yours locks eyes with you. You…

If you burn, how do you come back?
How the Threshing Quiz Works
The Threshing Quiz on this homepage is seven original scenes. Each scene has four actions. You pick one. That pick adds one point to a dragon color and one point to a tail type. After the seventh pick, the color with the most points is the result. The tail with the most points prints under it. If two tails share a lead, the quiz sorts those names alphabetically and keeps the first. The same alphabetical rule applies to colors. Nothing is random after you click.
The seven clicks stay in page memory only. Closing the tab clears the run. There is no account, no email field, and no cooldown. The score does not leave your browser unless you copy a result link yourself. That local math is the whole engine. It is not a hidden key for a named dragon from the novels.
You can miss a scene you liked. Use Play again. The prompts stay the same; only the tally changes. If you share a card, the link carries a result tag so a friend sees the same color and tail without repeating the seven clicks. That tag is a display shortcut. It does not rewrite how a fresh run is counted.
Threshing Quiz vs. the Official Dragonkind Game
This Threshing Quiz is a fan score. It is not Dragonkind. Rebecca Yarros’s official interactive Threshing lives at dragonkind.com. That game asks for an email login, assigns a wing, section, and squad, then walks you through Vale scenes. A dragon can bond you. A dragon can burn you. Players have described a wait after a death. None of that timer belongs here.
The official book site threshingday.com is a third place. It sells and explains the Threshing Day collection and hosts a Signet Quiz about abilities after a bond. This homepage does not copy Dragonkind scenes, bond-card art, or rider names from that game. It does not copy the Signet Quiz either. If you want the publisher’s story or the official Vale, leave this tab. If you want seven original prompts and an instant card, stay on this homepage.
Keep the labels straight when you send a link. Dragonkind is the official game. The Signet Quiz on the book site is about power after a pairing. This homepage is color plus tail from local points. Mixing those three in a group chat is how people think one login unlocks all three. It does not.
Threshing Quiz FAQ
What is the threshing quiz?
The Threshing Quiz is the seven-choice score at the top of this page. You pick an action in each scene. The site prints one color and one tail. It is a fan tool, not a chapter from the Empyrean books.
Is the threshing quiz official?
No. The Threshing Quiz is unofficial. The official interactive Threshing is Dragonkind at dragonkind.com. The official book pages are on threshingday.com and the author’s site.
Which dragon bonds you in threshing?
In the novels, a dragon chooses a cadet in the Vale. This Threshing Quiz does not name that dragon. It only scores the color and tail bins attached to your seven picks. For named pairs, read the books. For an official interactive run, open Dragonkind.
Do you need an account to play?
You do not need an account to play the Threshing Quiz. Dragonkind does ask for email. This page does not.
How many dragons can you bond?
On this site you get one color and one tail per run. You can play again for another card. The books and Dragonkind handle multiple bonds, deaths, and retries under their own rules. This page does not simulate a roster of several dragons at once.
What happens if a dragon burns you?
Nothing on this page. This fan score cannot burn you. There is no fire screen and no wait. Burning is a Dragonkind and book outcome. If you hit a burn on the official game, wait out that game’s timer. You can still take this fan score while you wait.
Can I skip a question?
No. Each of the seven scenes needs one pick. That is how the tally stays honest.
Where do I read more about playing?
Stay on this homepage for the widget, or open the short guide at how to play. Readers searching a Fourth Wing angle should use the Fourth Wing Quiz page. Those two pages are part of the same unofficial site; they are not a different quiz with different math.
Want the official interactive Threshing by Rebecca Yarros? That is dragonkind.com. The book collection lives on threshingday.com, including a Signet Quiz.
