How to Play: Cadet’s Guide to the Threshing Quiz

Stepping into the Vale requires quick reflexes, honest instincts, and unshakeable resolve. The Threshing Quiz simulates the harrowing choices first-year cadets face at Basgiath War College, testing how you respond to danger, unbonded dragons, and squad loyalty.

The Seven Trials

The quiz presents seven sequential survival scenarios set in the wild terrain of the Vale. Each trial offers four distinct tactical reactions written from the rider’s direct perspective. Trust your first instinct: in the presence of dragons, overthinking is as deadly as hesitation.

Revealing Your Dragon Bond

Upon completing the seventh trial, your decisions reveal the dragon archetype that answers your call:

• Breed Color: Reflects your core temperament — the explosive momentum of Reds, the cold calculation of Greens, the stubborn loyalty of Browns, the unpredictable cunning of Oranges, or the legendary dominance of Blues and Blacks.
• Tail Weapon: Identifies your aerial combat role — whether you sweep wide battlefields with a Swordtail, strike instantly with a Daggertail, shatter defenses with a Clubtail, ambush from above with a Scorpiontail, or deliver crushing force with a Morningstartail.
• Bond Card: A personalized result card featuring your breed, combat attributes, traditional Celtic title, and custom Vale quote.

Retaking the Trial

Every run through the Vale is unique. If you wish to explore how different survival decisions alter which dragon claims you, simply select “Play again” on your result card to restart the trial.
